A District-Wide Invitation: Launching “FOLLOW ME” 21 Days of Prayer
Dear NWIL Pastoral Families and Church Leaders,
As we prepare to step into a new church year, I am sensing a profound moment of opportunity for the Northwestern Illinois District. I believe we are at an important moment where our collective spiritual alignment will precede our greatest season of harvest.
To that end, I am inviting and calling every pastor and every church in our district to unite for “FOLLOW ME: 21 Days of Prayer for a Disciple-Making District,” running from March 1 through March 22, 2026.
The Power of Our “Yes”
There is a unique, supernatural authority that is released when 50 churches pray the same Scriptures, seek the same Savior, and pursue the same mission at the exact same time. This is more than a prayer challenge; it is a district-wide spiritual awakening. I am asking you to lead your congregation into this journey with me, believing that as we say “Yes” to Jesus together, He will move in unprecedented ways across our communities.
How We Will Participate Together:
- Sunday Launch & Weekly Anchor Points: Each Sunday (March 1, 8, 15, and 22), I have provided a brief Pastoral Script and Congregational Response for you to use during your morning worship. This is our moment to stand together as one body in one mission.
- Daily Digital Devotionals: Every morning at 6:00 AM, a high-impact devotional will be shared on the District Facebook page. I am asking each church to share these to your own pages or copy/paste the provided text to ensure your people are fed by the same Word daily.
- Deepened Daily Challenges: Each day includes a “Next Step” challenge. These are designed to be practical and transformative, helping our people move from “hearing” to “doing.”
Instructions for a Seamless Experience:
1. Mark Your Calendar: Plan to use the Sunday #1: Launch Script during your service on March 1st.
2. Access the Content: The full 21-day manuscript is attached to this email. You have everything you need to start promoting this to your church today.
3. Automate Your Outreach: To make this as easy as possible for you and your staff, we will be sending you a short video guide from Gabe Wickstrum at Galesburg on how to schedule all 21 days of posts in advance. You can set it up in minutes and let the Spirit do the work!
Pastors, I am so excited to see what the Holy Spirit does as we focus our collective gaze on Jesus for these three weeks. Let’s make this the heartbeat of our district as we prepare for our District Convention and a new year of making Christlike disciples.
I am praying for you, your families, and your congregations. The harvest is ready—let’s go together!
In Christ,
Rev. Lloyd Brock
